Where the data comes from
Tide predictions come from NOAA CO-OPS at U.S. stations. Elsewhere they are calculated on your iPhone from open international tide-station data, and where no station is near, from the EOT20 global tide model, which the app labels as an estimate. Weather comes from Apple Weather. Waves and swell come from PacIOOS WaveWatch III and sea temperature from NOAA satellite analysis, when those services are available.
